Complex Shopify Migration & Data Consolidation

Doors.com’s catalog included thousands of variants, 330,000+ kit items, and 57,000+ kit groups—far beyond Shopify’s native limits. We built a custom metafield and metaobject system that consolidated products and centralized management while preserving customization logic. Historical orders and structures were migrated with zero downtime. The result was a leaner, more scalable catalog—600 kit items (down from 330k) and 440 kit groups (down from 57k)—with dynamic pricing logic that auto-adjusts for door height and configuration.

Custom Product Configuration UX

On the frontend, we designed and built a tailored, visual configuration experience that made it easier for customers to understand how hardware, finish, trim, and other options affected the final product. Informational resources and dynamic pricing updates helped build trust with buyers making high-consideration purchases. Selections dynamically updated variants, prices, and availability based on brand, prior selections, and product type—while maintaining mobile usability and accessibility throughout.

Custom Theme Design & Component Library

We designed a fully custom Shopify theme with a resource hub, mega navigation, advanced search, and faceted filtering to support Doors.com’s large catalog. To ensure scalability, we also delivered a complete Figma UI kit and component library, giving the team tools to build consistently as new products are added.
